I saw this on another board and had to share with you... this guy converted an early 70s 911 targa into a full blown GT3R clone. Pretty amazing. I want that front and rear end on my car!

I'm in awe of that class of work. Spectacular!
Great link, Chronos - thanks.

Unbelievable. I can't help but wondering if for the amount of money (in parts and labor) spent on this, if they could've bought a real GT3. I bet it'd be close to the price of a used one. Car restoration math hard at work, again.

I'm sure he'll be lucky if he'll get $.25 per dollar invested. But I LOVE IT. A lot of hard work and love in that project.

I wonder what the cost of the parts and the cost of the labor was. The only part I'm not really wild about is the color.

Let's see, a Slate Grey GT3 RS... I like the sound of that!

I really don't see what all the fuss is about. I saw this conversion kit just the other day in the automotive department at Target for $149.95. If I used my Target Visa I could knock another 10% off the price. It even comes with an instruction booklet.

Seems like a lot of work... I sure hope it runs better than mid-pack :P

In GT3 he will only be mid pack if he hasn't lapped the whole field twice in the first ten laps, and on the street, that is pretty awesome. He would compete very favourably in GTC as well. GT3R refers to his PCA Club race class!!
