See ... you crash at SP and you miss competing against 20 other IROC / RSRs ... at the Glen June 5-6. I've run with 5, maybe 6 others at a time but can you imagine 20 other similarly prepared cars!!! It would almost be like RRI or RRII.
What could have been ... ...

Jaw dropping Wow! That would've been something. So how's Jim doing? What's the prognosis for rebuilding the car?

That's too cool! :D
I like the blue one best. No, the white one. Er, orange is cool. But ... :?

Now that is some Porsche eye candy!
Thanks for posting, Jase.
Was this some kind of special HSR event? Or is this sort of gathering normal?

Jim S. is doing well. Well enough to go to Lime Rock test day this past Tuesday. Everying was good with the driver and the car (in the 2.0L).
My younger brother Justin was ... basically everywhere! Spun in the downhill (serious pucker  ) spun in the left-hander and spun in the right-hander onto no-name straight. Had to pull 3 of 4 wheels to get dirt / gravel out of the rim / beads and brake ducts. Jim went to the flagger and told him to black flag Justin so he could come in and get his collective sh$t together. Enough can't be said about taking a self-imposed drive-thru to get your head together
The IROC has been "straightened" and really looked worse than it was. New body work is getting painted, suspension parts are in. All will be back together by end of July. Unbelievable what a tied in cage does to the structural rigidity of these cars.
Seeing as ours wasn't there ... I like the orange one :D Spoke to a couple of the guys and they said it was great racing ... and "where the hell were you guys?" Typical racers.

Every June is the Chemung Canal Trust HSR Watkins Glen race. ALWAYS brings out the p-cars. Many of the IROC / RSR look types reside in New England and LRP and the Glen are the home tracks. Unfortunatley, they don't all tow to Daytona, Moroso, Sebring, Atlanta, VIR, etc...

Great picture but lemme think, wasn't June 5/6 right around the pending arrival of the newest addition to the Scott family ... now that would have been some serious pimp hand if you could have pulled going to WG Jase
Glad to hear you Dad is doing well. Seeing the car when it came in on the roll back I am almost shocked to learn that it was able to be straightened. Look forward to seeing him back in action soon.
As for Justin, I can almost hearing him saying as he's spinning "Dude ...."
