All the 2003 or 2004 Boxsters Please Stand Up

Why do I never see these guys go up for sale? I'm kinda in the market for a Boxster S and I really don't want a vinyl window or to spend what people are asking for the 987. So where are all the 2003 and 2004 Boxster S cars at!?

Simply put, mine is worth more to me than any sane person would pay.
It's just over 15K miles and the AEs are quick enough to irritate the 987s...

50 Jahre 550 Spyder Limited Edition. 1953 were built in 2004. Factory lowered, wider track, stiffer suspension, short shift and a HP bump. Only came in GT Silver with some very light (for 18s) wheels. The wheels it's wearing in my avatar are CCWs I use for track and AX.

I suspect these cars are simply considered too valuable to sell by the owners at current prices. I would seriously consider selling mine if I found a buyer willing to offer in the high teens, but that's not likely going to happen And they're fun to drive no matter what trim so I'll grin and keep driving mine.

I think there are less of them too. Towards the end of model runs the production starts to drop off. Almost always the first one/two years sell the most as people want the "new ones". W/ the 987s coming Im sure there was a sales drop. Porsche mitigates this somewhat by doing little things every year to make later ones desireable (like glass rear window, PSM std, interior LED lighting, etc.) Just saying that less of them new = less of them on the used mkt.

My guess is that those guys are hiding out with the elusive 2009/2010 Cayman S with PDK and adjustable suspension (PASM). I've been looking for 2 months on every Internet source I know of for cars anywhere in the U.S. Only one has been for sale in the entire U.S., but I didn't want Gaurds Red.

Dont let that stop you. If/when it breaks replace it with a glass window top. Chixsters are a lot of car for the $$, even with a plastic window. :)

you are correct, they are quite rare. I know of 2 AE cars that are about to come on the market. Both were sold by me(no i am not selling them this time). Let me know if you want contact info.
